Max meanwhile discovers she has a new power that brings with it some devastating consequences. It’s here they discover that Rachel kept many secrets and was not the person Chloe thought she knew. Max and Chloe’s investigation into Rachel Amber’s disappearance lead them to break into Blackwell Academy after dark, searching for answers. She even proves this by witnessing some events, rewinding time and then telling Chloe what is about to happen.

For example… Max decides to trust her old friend Chloe and she tells her about her ability to rewind time.

However… there are some things which I think could have been done a little bit better. Obviously they had to considering that this is one of the first chapters we had to pay for. And let’s not forget the discovery of Max’ secret power where she’s able to rewind time! Following up on such a rollercoaster is quite challenging per definition and I think episode 2 did a good job in the overall. Brick RigsĮpisode 1 was a very filled chapter because it introduced us to Max (the protagonist of the story) and her life at the University of Blackwell. The only thing that bothered me was that the episode was so short. The whole episode was really cool, action and much more. I almost killed one man then my best friend almost died and finally I could not rescue the mentally crashed Kate. Meanwhile, what did happen to Rachel Amber? Life Is Strange Out of Time is part two of a five part series that sets out to revolutionise story based choice and consequence games. But life goes on in Blackwell Academy and a certain viral video has become a major topic of discussion. Now reunited with her friend Chloe, Max starts to experiment with her power and begins to wonder if it is related to her visions or the weird snow from the day before.

Overall though, still recommended for the story, just don’t go in looking for a game where your choices actually make a big difference in the story. Quite an enjoyable story, however it follows in the steps of Telltale with an ending that makes 99% of your choices throughout the game irrelevant.
